Unfortunately it is not possible to give this company less than one star. My order from 11. 4. 20 actually arrived today (two hydrangeas). One plant was just about acceptable but the other was an insult - two weak stems and a third one that had been broken off at some time. Neither plant looks well cared for or particularly healthy and to be honest I have seen better specimens cheaper in Aldi. Given the appalling customer service I can't face trying to return the worst plant and then waiting for a probably non-existent refund. Do not even think about buying anything from these people!

I placed my order in March and they arrived in June the plants were totally immature and despite putting them into intensive care they all died. The only replies i get from them are computerised. I do not expect any replacement plants as I expect that they will go out of business no one can survive this poor level of customer service.

Quite the worst online retailer. Damages and undersized products, no customer care number, archaic returns process. Appalling

Really poor quality small plants, incomplete orders and incorrect plants delivered. The response from customer service was very poor.. no apology and I was told that the broken, shrivelled plants were healthy and just needed to be planted up and given a drink! Next time I’m just going to the garden centre!

Great quality plants which arrived very well packaged. They were subject to a special offer and represented great value for money.

4 plants didn't arrive all at once, spread over 3 days

An amazing, almost overwhelming, choice of plants, well described and illustrated. Delivery time was not as stated on the home page, but when plants arrived they were healthy and very securely packed. I had some doubts about ordering plants online - not any more!

Trees arrived on time and exactly as described.Very well packed, healthy looking plants, just starting to bloom.Very happy with the quality and will definitely order again.

AVOID this company like the plague shoddy goods rubbish plants, they send out damaged goods two weeks after ordering not express and do nothing about it, THE CUSTOMER CHAT AGENT has a well paid job for fobbing off customers who complain, the advice is oh well prune of the damage it will survive, yes and be HALF the plant you paid a lot of money for, PRICE PROMISE means NOTHING.

Other gardening webs give measurements of potential size of each plant together with a simple drawing.

OMG - why did I not look at the reviews first! I ordered two small Xmas trees on 29/11. They stated can take up to 10 working days. 10 working days arrives - no trees. So I contact them by their limited webchat service to cancel my order as it will now arrive too late. They say they won't give refunds if orders are in picking status. The order has been at picking status for 5 days! (Basically a scam to ensure no customer can cancel orders when frustrated at the long wait for their order).
They have no idea when it will be delivered but still won't give a refund. Absolutely appalling customer service. How is this company still in business - how?

Not even worth one star. They take your money and never deliver the goods. I’ve been waiting since June and still not received my parcel. My emails are ignored and no sign of a refund. Any negative feedback and they block you. I wouldn’t trust any of the positive feedback on here...probably posted it themselves!!

Overall disappointing. Ordered a small Christmas tree (3 feet) for use this Christmas. Tree arrived by courier after a few days. Nice shape but the actual height was 29" (20% smaller than advertised on the website). When I raised this with customer services, their response after a day or so was that the sizes on the website are approximate and that the tree supplied was in the range of heights in the small print on line. Disappointing given the price paid.

My first dealings with Gardening Express were positive at the start of first lockdown. Although orders did take quite some time I received an extra free plant as compensation. My last order in July however, for 3 Hebe Balls has not been a good experience as one, and in fact then two, of the plants died from the centre. I raised a request for replacement together with photo. I received a ticket a week later saying this had been referred to the horticultural manager. I chased a month later. More weeks have gone by. Still no response. Surely it’s not a difficult issue to deal with if you want to keep the goodwill of a customer.

I got a refund for 4 dead plants but haven't been able to secure refund for the rest of my plants I had complained about,
